Novel synopsis
(Edited from author’s synopsis on jjwxc)
1. Lin Shijin transmigrates into a “universal heartthrob” novel, becoming the cannon-fodder childhood betrothed and discarded male wife of the main shou.
Later in the story, the protagonist joins a cultivation sect and attracts a whole flock of “stock-investor gongs”. Lin Shijin is the first romantic rival to be taken out. He was killed off by one of them before the protagonist even returns.
After transmigrating, determined to avoid the original plot and unwilling to be entangled with any of the characters, Lin Shijin chooses to cut ties altogether. By chance, he is taken in as a disciple by a passing immortal.
2. He follows the immortal into a cultivation sect, intending to cultivate properly and steer clear of the protagonist and his stock-investor admirers.
Unexpectedly, upon entering the sect, the familiar, breathtakingly beautiful protagonist looks his way and respectfully calls the immortal beside him “Master.”
Lin Shijin: “…”
Once the Master departs, the protagonist corners him against a wall and quietly warns, “Don’t let anyone know about our relationship. We’re only married in name. Once I’ve avenged my parents, we’ll divorce.”
Lin Shijin: “All right, all right.”
3. He avoids the protagonist as agreed, only for the protagonist to seek him out again. This time clinging relentlessly.
“Don’t go fooling around with other men.”
“Men and women shouldn’t touch. Who allowed you to accept gifts from a female cultivator?”
“Lin Shijin, have you forgotten that you’re already married?”
Lin Shijin: “…”
【Reading Notes】
- 1v1, Happy Ending.
- Lin Shijin is the shou; Sheng Liuguang is the gong. (The protagonist shifts from shou to gong.)
- “No-brain × Perpetually Unhappy”: two primary-school brats falling in love; chaotic, slapstick cultivation.
- Cold-blooded beauty fake young-master shou × foolish, poor, outwardly pure but inwardly ruthless true young-master gong
